Self-Guided Visit: Explore campus on your own. Visitors will be provided with maps, guides and other materials to fully enjoy campus and to learn as much about JMU as possible. Visitors are encouraged to talk to students, faculty and staff during their visit to better understand the unique campus culture of James Madison University.
Information Session and Tour: Enjoy a half-hour in-person admissions information session and an hour-and-a-half student-led campus tour. The information session and the tour groups will include multiple registrants and their guests. This tour will be conducted on the western portion of the JMU campus and will include academic buildings, a model residence hall room, the Union and the Quad as well as other stops. The Quad is the location of the most historic buildings on campus, as well as residence halls and administrative buildings.
Information Session and Tour (East Campus): Join us for a half-hour information session followed by an hour-and-a-half campus tour led by a JMU student guide. The information session and the tour groups will include multiple registrants and their guests. This tour will be conducted on the eastern portion of the JMU campus and will include academic buildings, Rose Library, a model residence hall room, the Festival Conference and Student Center, the E-Hall Dining Hall, as well as other stops. East campus is home to academic spaces, residence halls, student activities space, the Rose Library and many of the newest buildings on the JMU campus.
