All video materials in our Admissions Information Session are captioned.
Hearing Assistance devices are available for use by visitors for our Information Sessions. Tours do not have assistance devices available at this time.
Sign Language Interpreters are typically available if a request is made at least 10 business days in advance. We cannot guarantee availability for requests made within 10 business days of an event, but will make every effort to procure an interpreter. Interpreters will accompany a prospective student and their guests during the full Information Session and Tour.

All prospective students and guests with visual impairments are encouraged to join the No-Stairs tour option upon arrival for the Information Session and Tour. For those with a service animal, they are permitted in all aspects of the Information Session and Tour.

The James Madison University Office of Admissions is not able to provide mobility assistance devices such as crutches, scooters, golf carts or other physical items.
All Information Sessions and Tours do offer a No-Stairs tour option that you may join at any time without special registration. The No-Stairs tour visits all the exact same locations as other tours, but utilizes all ADA accommodations such as ramps and elevators, and it proceeds at a slower pace to accommodate any that may need extra time on their tour.
